the end

The year 2999 the start of the apocalypse
I was just coming back from work when it
happened the bomb that started it no one
knew where it came from but they knew
it was bad not knowing what to do millions
of lives were erased from the word only
some were left to survive luckily I was one
of them but traumatized I just wanted to
leave so I could get away from this dreadful
place that was no longer called earth in a
panic I asked anyone for help to be rid
of this memory and I found that help eventually.

He took me in to begin project ultra halfway
through the project, something went wrong
and sooner or later I knew it was going to
happen I tried to warn the man that took
me but he had other words and said everything
will be fine but then it happened the device
broke and I was obliterated but something
else happened to me I became immortal

At that moment I was infuriated I wanted to
forget this memory but now I have to live
with it as I tried to find the man who did it
all a found was a half-dead man it was the
man as I shouted WHO ARE YOU there was
no response all he said was I have blessed
you with this gift in raged I pierced a hole through
his body with my fist. that was 2000 years ago
and now to this day I still try to get rid of this curse

Matariki

July 24th the day of our Matariki
Festival, it started around 4 pm,
most of the workers had showed
up. Myself, David and Natal were
running the popcorn stand and it
was better than you would think.
We got to popping as people started
to arrive but unfortunately, we didn’t
have many customers but that was fine.
So at that point, Natal and I  bought fry bread.

We decided to go and wander around
the sports hub having a good time with
friends but as time passed the Kapa haka
groups started to perform I had returned
to the popcorn stand to witness the smell
of burnt popcorn. Just as I was about to
get back to work Jon-lee informed me
that we had to perform.

After a couple of songs, it was Hokitika
Primary Schools turn. During the night
people started to vanish but then after
Hokitika Primary was finished, we closed
out the night with one last song as table
packed up, people knew that the night was over finally,
it was wrapped up with a karakia.
I hitched a ride with Tiare back to my
house.

Tino Rangatiratanga

This is the Tino Rangatiratanga flag it was
designed in 1999 it represents the separation
of Ranginui and Papatuanuku. The
black represents Ranginui and
the red represents Papatuanuku and the koru
represents Te ao Marama and
it flew ten years ago for the
first time on the Auckland harbor
bridge and at Parliament.

cooking

This term we got to do cooking
which I enjoyed a lot today at period four.
I made egg rolls which are like a mix of an
omelet and tortilla. I would make this again
maybe for breakfast.  I learned the difference
between an omelet and scrambled eggs.

god of war review

God of war sees a
single parent
mourning the
death of his wife.
The parent’s name
is Kratos the protagonist
with his son Atreus traveling
to the highest peak in all the nine
realms of Jőtunheim to spread his
wife’s ashes. But along the way,
they are interrupted by others on
their journey. God of war is a
story-based game with high detail
cutscenes and gore, I would recommend
giving this game a try but if you don’t
like violence then I suggest you find
another game that’s more peaceful.
If I had to give it a rating I would give
it a good 9.8/10

avalon island

One day a bad man called
Azazel tried to steal an acre
of China because it had a
chunk of knowledge that he
wanted for a doomsday
device.so He tethered the
chunk of land up to his
enormous helicopter with
reinforced cables. His
helicopter was very strong
but unfortunately not strong
enough to carry an acre of
China. The acre fell and landed
in the Pacific Ocean.
It was left there for years. Fast
forward the year is 2038, by
then, people were living
there, around 60-80 civilians
but the man who discovered
the island was a Greek  called Ezio
It was not until 2043, one day
a piece of strange material was
found so he used it to make
a boat to escape from the island
. He told the islanders that he would
return but he never made it back
because he was attacked by Azazel
Now the people still have no leader
so now they try to build boats and
survive on an island with no leader.
When this happened Azazel saw it
was the perfect time to take the
island but Ezio was in fact
still alive. The islanders were
happy but unfortunately, Ezio
was hypnotized so it was up to
the islanders to return him
to humanity as they tried to
hit Ezio nothing affected him
but they saw Azazel was
controlling him so with all
there caged they killed
Azazel.
Ezio finally had control
of himself and with the
knowledge, he had the
islanders could build
new technology and
inventions but Ezio
was worried, someone
worse then Azazel
would discover them
but until then the islanders
live in peace as they watch
the sun rising like it was a
heatwave.

My favorite room is the
kitchen because it’s
where the magic
happens
By magic
I mean it’s where
food gets made
like lasagna or butter
chicken etc i
But my kitchen is very
small the first thing
you see. is well
everything
that’s how small it really
is

On Monday, 23 September the Westland Kapa Haka Group traveled to
Greymouth for annual Te Hui Ahurei o Te Tai o Poutini Kapa Haka Festival.
We, the mana whenua ascended the stage to begin the festival with a pōwhiri,
welcoming guests and participants to the event that day. Following the pōwhiri,
the MC was introduced and went through the safety briefing.
He then announced the first group to perform on the day, Greymain 1.
After them Greymain 2, who was the competing group performed.
Following the first four groups that morning Hokitika Primary School performed.
Following their performance, I left the theatre for food. I bought two waffles, one
for myself and the other one for Jett. I also bought a snow cone and a sausage.
I returned to the theater and sat there to watch a few more groups. Early that
afternoon we instructed to go to the changing room. There the boys were
handed piupiu and the girls were given their skirts and tops to change into.
Once changed we did a couple of run-throughs of our performance. At about
2:25 pm we were led downstairs and into the theatre eventually lining up
backstage. There we waited until Buller High School had completed their
performance. Finally, our turn had arrived
We were lead onto the stage. Our performance began with the Te Atua,
our waiata tira followed by the whakaeke, Tenei Te Tira then the waiata-a-ringa
E Kore Nei e Pikoko followed by the poi Tūhonono nei the haka
Te Māwherataka and our final item the whakawātea E nga iwi. We
exited the stage and sat down to watch Greymouth High School. Once they
finished, we returned to the changing rooms and changed back into our school
uniform. We then returned to the theatre to watch the prize-giving. Westland
High School won overall. We then left the theatre and went to McDonald’s
before returning home to Hokitika.

Nā Zion Cook
My trip of nostalgia
Saturday, it was time for our trip over to Christchurch for Disney on Ice. I was really happy to go but wasn't looking forward to the long drive as I get car sick. Just before Arthurs Pass, my stomach ached and I felt hot and threw up out the van window.
Later, I woke up in Springfield and was relieved because the drive was almost over and I was now very hungry. Luckily we stopped at Sheffield so I bought a mince and cheese pie
When we arrived at Te Pihopatanga I was very happy to get out of the van, grab my bag and set up my bed. Afterward, Natal, Tiare, and l played hide and seek. I was in for the first round and found both of them pretty quick. I thought this game was going to be so boring but by round two, I had completely changed my mind - Natal was now in and as he started to count, Tiare and I made a mad dash to the metal shed.
Tiare shouted, “ Let’s run behind the house!”
I willingly agreed  replying, “ Let’s just run from house to house.”
But it didn't work because as we tried this, Natal spotted us so we tried to run back to our original place but Natal quickly found me and then spotted Tiare.
Next Tiare wanted to be in. We stayed outside until we were called in to get ready for the Garden City Restaurant.
I was super excited to go as I had been only once before so I was really keen to return to the same restaurant a year later. The food was amazing! Jett, Natal and I made a pact that we would eat as much food as possible so we carefully loaded our plates. Jett said he was not drinking any water as this could make him full but Natal and I drank. When I finished my dinner, I rushed over to get some ice cream for dessert but had to wait for Tiare to finish getting his first. In my mind I was screaming “Come on move! I need my ice cream.” Finally, he moved and yay, it was my turn. I pulled the lever and watched the ice cream slide onto my plate. After a while, we all left to go back to Te Pihopatanga.
Tiare, Jonlee and I went into the kitchen to sing and when we were finished it was time for bed. I was feeling pretty tired after such a long day.
The next day, I was excited as we went to the mall. I just really wanted it to be 5:30 pm but I had to slowly wait out the day. We got to go to Margaret Mahy Park. Jett had never been so Natal and I gave Jett a tour but this was cut short because we were told to go to play netball, so we moved from one court to another. The court we eventually played at had two fake rocks that Natal and I climbed upon. We named our rocks- one pride rock and the other hyena rock. I was on hyena rock and Natal was on pride rock as he tried to figure out what was going to happen at Disney on Ice.
Finally, it was time for….. (dramatic pause) Disney on Ice! Like the new remakes, I didn't know how I felt about having people playing these nostalgic Disney characters
But just like the remakes, it was cool and after the show, we got to go to HELLS PIZZA!
The next day, we got ready to leave, we repacked the vans and left for our return back to Hokitika. We even got to play again in the snow. I was relieved to get out and play as on our way over,  I was too ill and didn't get to play in the snow.
A  big thanks to all the tuakana for coming and keeping all of us out of trouble and thanks to all the teachers for giving us this nostalgic trip.
Nā Zion
